What is a Dandelion?

  • The death of a loved one
  • Divorce
  • Loss of a job
  • Financial obligations
  • Getting married
  • Moving to a new home
  • Chronic illness or injury
  • Emotional problems (depression, anxiety, anger, grief, etc)
  • Taking care of an elderly or sick family member
  • Traumatic event, such as a natural disaster, theft, rape, or violence against you or a loved one…

These are 10 of the major life events that cause stress.  Have you experienced any of them?  I have experienced all of them.  Some of them multiple times in my life!  Have I shriveled up and died because of them?  No.  Have I wanted to?  Yes, at times I have.  Did I make it through them?  Yes!

It is not WHAT happens to you in life that impacts your stress level.  It is HOW YOU THINK ABOUT IT that does.  It is the MEANING you give the events.  It is the THINGS YOU TELL YOURSELF about them.

Think about a dandelion when it is in its fluffy stage…  What do you see?  What do you think about the dandelion?

Some people see it as a weed.  Yet others see it as a wish.

Do you see certain life events (from your past or your present) as a curse or a blessing?  There is ALWAYS a blessing in every “bad” event that happens to us.  But you have to choose to see it!

If you’ve ever experienced one of the above life stresses and seem stuck by it, let me help you see the blessing.  Let’s talk and see how I might be able to help you get to know yourself better and to teach you how to achieve Emotional Freedom!
